The platform enables students to find, buy, and sell new and used textbooks with minimal effort. Integrated with WeStudents, the service helps users save time and money while ensuring secure transactions.
Project Scope
SDTechnologist handled the project end-to-end, focusing on creating an intuitive and secure platform for students and parents. Key priorities included:
- Ease of Use – A streamlined interface to simplify buying and selling.
- Secure Transactions – A hybrid system combining Amazon for new book purchases and direct user-to-user sales for used books.
- Efficiency – Quick access to relevant book listings and school-specific recommendations.

Solution: WeBooks offers two purchasing options:

- Used books through a peer-to-peer marketplace where students can list and buy directly.
Challenge: Guaranteeing a secure and commission-free selling process.
Solution: The platform allows students to list books with detailed descriptions and images. Transactions are managed directly between buyers and sellers, ensuring full earnings retention.
